Stanton Warriors - Seeker (WhatWhatWhat remix)

Yes, its been out for a while...but its brilliant and never gets old!
For this absolute banger of a remix WhatWhatWhat (a.k.a Sick & Alex Metric) come together for 7 minutes and 14 seconds of subtle but spine tingling badness. The intro massively (but unsuprisingly akin to the confident, chunky breaks of the Stantons) building into a monstrous thrusting bass stab with the usual cowbell accompanient to great effect. Original vocals by Jelissa fade in and out with the same brilliance of the rest of the track :) :) :)

F.U.K.T

F.U.K.T - An exciting, turbo charged liquid drum and bass/dubstep crew hail from Copenhagen, following in the acronym ridden footsteps of Finnish production crew L.A.O.S, they come with the perfect balance between jump up anthems and soulful goodness and prove that its not just the UK that can squelch out tight beats and bass in abudance.
Look out for their debut album on Murena Records/Playground Scandinavia

My particular favourite being; "Until the end" (Soulmatik & Oktobass remix) out on Viper Recordings now...(has been for some months! :)

Noisia - Diplodocus

Foul, foul new Noise from the trio. Definetely a hark back to the old (tech) school. Raw samples and rolling steppy beats, token percussion and a searing bassline. I'm still waiting for a substandard release from these lads! :)
Gotta love that pitched vocal sample, eerie but also brings a smile your face
A must!

Go forth

Johannes Heil - Erdbeerfeld

Yet more excellent German techno! More squelch than a silage pit. Lush, floaty low passed keys and piercing mid range motifs. Amazing :)

Check it!

Lennie De Ice - We Are IE (Caspa & Rusko remix)

An excellent 21st Century revival for Lennie De Ice's original. At the moment there are a few different reworks floating around (A drums of death, Rennie Pilgrem, Johan Filterman, Hijack) as part of the the reissue on Y4K. - Of the three my favourite is Rusko's.
It retains the original serenity but with a natural sounding steppy beat, proper early evening headbobbing club tune i reckons :)

Some Clips to check

Skream - Hedd Banger/ Percression

Skream's new double on Tectonic (DJ pinch's Bristol based label) - this has been a long time coming, but is not to disappoint - both are on a more restrained tip. "hedd banger" incorporating eerie keys with a sombre, cutting bass stab which is relentless but sustaining throughout.

Whereas "Percression" is a cheekier, steppier minimal outlet with more of the wobble that we have come to expect from the dubstep heavyweights.

Check it

Gregor Tresher - A Thousand nights (EP)

German techno head Gregor Tresher's 4 part single; including 3 excellent remixes by Dubfire, quiet storm and (my personal favourite - Extrawelt)
I can't get enough of this German minimal tech at the moment.

Check him out
